Eficacia de la combinación de dos técnicas no invasivas como alternativa terapéutica en casos con melasma Effectiveness of the combination of two non-invasive techniques as a therapeutic alternative in cases with melasma
Melasma is a dermatosis characterized by hyperpigmentation on the skin exposed to UV rays, other drugs, pregnancy, cosmetics among them. Objective: determine the efficacy of the combination of two non-invasive techniques in cases with melasma due to photodamage to the skin of the face, as a therapeutic alternative in the improvement of this pathology. It was a descriptive study, with a prospective intervention design. Four non-invasive therapeutic equipment were used. The treatment was applied in three stages: 1) Diagnosis by means of the Wood lamp to determine the type of melasma; 2) Phase 1: 10 sessions, one per week, using the electroporator + RT-Xamic equipment, previously an exposure was carried out in the 7-color LED Booth; 3) Phase 2: 10 sessions, one per week, using the Blue Light Pico Seconds Laser, previously a topical anesthetic cream is placed (2.5% Lidocaine and 2.5% Prilocaine). 6 women who met the inclusion criteria were selected. Results: the age was between 52.83 ± 6.27 years, 33.3%, the skin phototype was level II and 66.7% was level III, 50% evidenced an epidermal melasma and 50% mixed (epidermal and dermal), in the mMASI, a decrease was obtained in the mean and standard deviation: before treatment (6.85 ± 2.67), 10 weeks (2.77 ± 1.05), 20 weeks (0.88 ± 0 , 42). Conclusions: the treatment used as a therapeutic alternative in cases with type II and III melasma showed efficacy, which shows the possibility of using this treatment as an alternative to traditional methods.
