Establish the relationship between disability and health-related quality of life in adults with disabilities in the city of Sincelejo, Sucre (Colombia, 2017). Materials and method. Descriptive study of correlational scope with 125 participants with disabilities older than 20 years, who had been with the permanent limitation for more than six months. The WHODAS 2.0 questionnaire was used to assess disability and the WHOQOL-Bref to establish health-related quality of life. Results. The area of disability with the highest average score was mobility (44.60 ± 32.3139), about half of the participants had mild disability (48%). The best averages for quality of life scores were for the interpersonal relationships (68.6 ± 14.7308) and psychological (66.90 ± 17.8847) domains; The findings showed significant correlations between the areas of disability and the quality of life domains, particularly mobility, self-care, activities of daily living (unpaid work) and participation in society, with the physical domain of quality of life ( p value 0.000 for all variables); these correlations had moderate and inverse strength. Conclusion. In the participating population, the best perception of quality of life is associated with a lower degree of disability.
