The results of the study allow us to conclude that the main problem for the internationalization of HEIs interviewed in the department of Risaralda is the insufficiency of an administrative - directive articulation, which directly affects the system of quality assurance as the main mechanism for Provide guarantees on the programs offered in the country, national and foreign, as well as participation in international integration processes. On the other hand, the policies of internationalization formulated by the National Government should be adapted according to the local and regional perspective and capacities, so that it can be progressively transcended In terms of resources, it is known by the country that it is a general limitation in education; So the reflection is more focused on finding other forms of financing that link, in addition to traditional international cooperation, to representatives of the private sector.
