This exposition is the result of an essay that was written for the seminar titled “Regional and Urban Historiography”, which was offered by the Master’s Degree in History (in its emphasis in Social Studies and History’s Didactics) in the Social Studies’s School of the Universidad Tecnologica de Pereira.This work is assumed as a primary analysis about the way history of education has been written based on a regional perspective. The main sources to make this analysis were 23 articles published in peer-review journals on History, and 5 expositions in HiSTOReLo 2017 related to history of education. Based on this material, I built an explanatory structure around 6 topics of analysis, and I tried to find out the convergent and divergent points of view about this field of study, and finally concluded that researching on history of education gives us the possibility to configure new topics, theories and methodologies that might help us to comprehend the region as a historiographical field of studies.
