Any type of organization requires resources for its operation and the availability or access to them can make an important difference in the operation. The object of study developed in this research focuses on identifying the most favorable financing options for the agribusiness sector in Colombia, based on the identification of financial behavior. Within the process developed, the balance sheet and income statement of the last 12 years of the set of all the companies available in the Gestor program database were evaluated, where the financial information of the main companies of the different sectors in Colombia is consolidated. The type of research developed and descriptive with a quantitative approach. The results obtained for the sector identify elements that could be considered as special compared to the allocation or distribution of liabilities and assets. Investment determinations can be observed in the changes identified against short and long term liabilities, each of these components is highly mediated by the characteristics of the environment and exogenous factors. The identified performance of profitability during the period observed shows levels of learning versus the use of production factors; with few fluctuations, revealing a mature sector where it can be intuited that the use of resources have focused specifically on the acquisition of productive goods and that during the last 3 years ending in 2018.
