Medición de la adherencia de los trabajadores la salud de la ESE Salud Pereira en el conocimiento y la práctica de la guía de hipertensión arterial en el municipio de Pereira 2015
Objective. To evaluate the adherence of the health workers of the ESE Salud Pereira to the guide on arterial hypertension in the Municipality of Pereira in 2015. Methods. Quantitative evaluative research of a descriptive type of correlational cross-section, which aims to identify the adherence (knowledge and practices) of physicians to the arterial hypertension guidelines; with a knowledge sample made up of 24 medical professionals who work in the Arterial Hypertension Program in the outpatient services of the different institutions that make up the ESE Salud Pereira, grouped into three Intermediate Health Units UIS; for practices, the sample size was 271 medical records of individuals belonging to the hypertension program of the ESE Salud Pereira who met the inclusion criteria. An exploratory analysis was carried out through absolute and relative frequencies in quantitative variables, measures of central tendency and dispersion were used in the exploration of the relationship between variables, hypothesis contrasts were used according to the nature of the variable. The results of the knowledge tests were evaluated individually and collectively; The same procedure was followed for the evaluation of the results of the practice data. With the results obtained, the adherence indicator was constructed, separated according to general variables and by categories selected in the operationalization of variables. Practical results. The Prevention module obtains a rating of 4.9 (High), Diagnosis 1.8 (Very Low), Treatment 3.6 (Medium), Follow-up 3.4 (Medium). For each intermediate unit, the behavior is similar, with the best score in the intermediate Kennedy unit and the lowest score in the Center. Knowledge results. The knowledge about arterial hypertension of health workers, in prevention, diagnosis and follow-up showed a “medium” rating in the three UIS; in follow-up, the rating was in all TUIs. The best qualification of the three TUIs was appreciated in the Center and the lowest in Kennedy. Regarding the rating of the four variables, there was no difference, thus: prevention, diagnosis and follow-up were classified as medium knowledge while the treatment variable obtained a rating of low. Adhesion Result. The result of the qualification of the knowledge and practice variables shows the ESE Salud Pereira as an institution with a medium level of adherence to the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Arterial Hypertension; the prevention and treatment components are the best performing with an adherence rating of 4.1 (high) and 3.6 (medium) respectively; 11 on the other hand, the diagnostic and follow-up components were rated 2.5 (low) and 3.2 (medium). Conclusions. The ESE Salud Pereira has partial adherence to the Arterial Hypertension Clinical Practice Guidelines, since it is not homogeneous in the components of prevention, diagnosis, follow-up and treatment explored through knowledge and practices. It is highlighted that the performance of the components was high in the case of prevention and low in the case of treatment.
