Factores organizacionales en la implementación de un sistema de inteligencia institucional, caso: Vicerrectoría de Investigación de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia
This document contains the characterization of the success factors for the implementation of an Institutional Intelligence system in the Office of the Vice-chancellor of Investigation for Research of the National University of Colombia. It is based on the importance of these systems to improve decision making, strategic management and operational management. Using Checkland's soft systems methodology together with a transversal case study strategy and a qualitative research approach; In the first instance, organizational, social and technical factors were identified and characterized through a systematic review of the literature. Subsequently, through the analysis of interviews and surveys carried out in the Vice-Rectory, the characterization of the factors identified in the literature was contrasted with the status of said factors in the case study. Thus establishing the gaps between an ideal situation and the reality of the case. As a result, the respective findings, improvement actions and recommendations for the following subfactors were obtained: Alignment of the strategy, IT Association, Education, Requirements and Policies, Administration and Leadership, Technical preparation, Source of data and information, Culture of the engineering of the decision process, Culture around the information user and Culture of continuous process improvement.
