The research was carried out in three Intensive Care Units-ICU of Manizales: the Heart Clinic, the General Hospital Santa Sofia and Special Health Services of Caldas. Objective: To understand the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the medical staff of the Intensive Care Units (ICU) of the city of Manizales regarding organ donation Methodology: The research is qualitative, descriptive and interpretive and exploratory. The unit of work consisted of four physicians working in the ICU of each center, for a total of twelve interviewees. Results: Regarding the knowledge that doctors have about donation and the technique to perform transplants is minimal. As for the attitudes of physicians towards organ donation were found to be favorable, being thus in agreement with training and training in the issue of organ donation. Finally, regarding the practices of the doctors interviewed, they can be considered scarce since this process is in charge of the Network of Donation and Transplants. Conclusions: The knowledge of the physicians of the three ICUs studied are partial, because they are not clear about the concepts of donation, they do not know very well the normativity, consequently, the practices are few since they only detect the possible donor and the Network of Donation and Transplants takes care of the rest. The process of donation is not clear either, for the same cause, since this is responsible for the Donation Network and Transplants, but in turn. The attitudes of the interviewees towards the donation are favorable, since 100% responded to be in agreement with the donation and transplant of organs. They also agree that there should be specific complementary training of medical staff in organ donation.
