Cyberbullying, or bullying among adolescents, is an emerging form of harassment that manifests itself through electronic means. The objective of the research was to analyze the phenomenon of cyberbullying and its relationship with the academic performance of students. The work was developed under a mixed descriptive correlations non-experimental approach, with a population of 292 high school students, belonging to a Colombian educational institution. The results indicate that cyberbullying does influence student academic performance, where the aggressors are students with low and basic performance, while the victims have high and superior performance. The behavior of the spectators occurs due they are afraid of being attacked by the victimizers, excluded by the victims, or expelled to them from the educational institution. It concludes with the importance of identifying the factors that influence the comportment of the aggressors, which will allow to propose mechanisms that help victims and observer to report this situation.
