Correspondencia entre las competencias laborales y las competencias esenciales en salud pública de los profesionales de enfermería, fisioterapia, fonoaudiología odontología, ingeniería de sistemas y medicina veterinaria, que integran el equipo de salud pública de la secretaría departamental de salud del Cauca, 2016-2017
Objective: To identify the correspondence between labor competencies and essential public health competencies in the professionals of Nursing, Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Dentistry, Systems Engineering and Veterinary Medicine of the public health team of the Secretary of Health of the Department of Cauca. Methodology: Cross-sectional descriptive study with qualitative and quantitative data, target population made up of 33 professionals who made up the public health teams. Non-probability sampling, for convenience. Use of the SPSS V23 statistical package. Results: 29 professionals with an average age of 34 years participated, 72.41% of the respondents were women, 58.6% of the professionals had postgraduate training, the modality of 86.21% hiring was for the provision of services, 51.72% came to the position by recommendation. An association (p <0.05) was found between CESP and the undergraduate variables, time of experience in the position, and the type of functions of the professionals. Conclusion: There is a higher level of correspondence with the competences of health situation analysis, health promotion and social participation, equity, and quality in individual and collective services.
