For the quantification of the carbon footprint, we chose to use the methodology set forth by the IPCC and ISO 14064 of 2014. water footprint was evaluated based on the methodology of The Water Footprint Assessment, thus determining the footprint from the direct and indirect consumption; it is worth mentioning that for both types of footprints the primary information was collected through the application of an online survey to all the faculty's personnel. Thus, it was obtained that the largest activities that contribute to the carbon footprint are the consumption of drinking water with 37%, the transportation of personnel outside the limits of the institution with 33% and the consumption of food with 21% compared to a total carbon footprint of 4,946.95 Ton CO2 eq/year). Regarding the water footprint, a value of 1,089,818.6 m^3/year was obtained, of which 66% corresponds only to food consumption, followed using electricity by the faculty engineering with 23%. Finally, based on the results obtained, mitigation, compensation and reduction strategies were established to minimize the contribution that the faculty generates with respect to these two environmental indicators, with the purpose that in the future the university in general will be sustainable and environmentally friendly
