Creole hens have been an important part of the history of agricultural development in theworld, being one of the first species domesticated by humans. Creole hens, managed undertraditional systems, have been an essential part of the economy, security and food autonomyof rural families. However, there are few researches that allow to know this type of hens, toenhance their use and to recognize it as a specie with great potential to design agroecologicalproduction systems. As a result of this work, we could characterize the production systems,to rescue technical knowledge about its manage and to promote the network of communitiesworking with this issue.
