The methodologies for software development arise when there is a need to use a series of procedures, techniques, tools and documentary support when developing a product. The development of quality software was affected by the unreal planning of managers to estimate time, effort and system costs. The present work aims to present the application of the SXP hybrid methodology in the design of a Fuel Consumption Control System. The phases and workflows of the methodology were described, as well as the iterations for the delivery of the functional requirements and the main artifacts generated user stories, engineering tasks and acceptance tests during the software life cycle.
