Objective: This article aims to understand the meanings given by the students of the Kennedy District Educational Institution in Bogota to the Chair of Peace. Methodology: A qualitative interpretive methodology with flexible design is followed. The interpretation of the results was carried out in the light of the Category Analysis; The collection of information was possible thanks to a series of meetings in which directed workshops were developed that contemplated different activities for the students. Finding: It was possible to demonstrate the importance of implementing playful and didactic practices that involve the family members of the student body; in addition, that the experiences of young people are included as the subject of the chair. Additionally, the role of the teacher as a nuclear agent in the development and structuring of a curricular space like this is highlighted. Conclusion: The meanings granted by the students are articulated with their daily experiences, in this training process, the role of the teacher is decisive for the configuration of the meanings of the school space.
