In the present investigation, translators in training from the Sixth Cohort of the Master's Degree in Translation at the Autonomous University of Manizales carried out a translation task that was recorded using Translog II as the main instrument of the Key logging technique in the field of translation. , in order to analyze the time and pauses associated with the cognitive effort invested by the subjects of the sample in the phases of the translator process: Orientation Phase (FO), Drafting Phase (FR) and Review Phase (FRV). In addition, screen recording software was used to record FO, as well as retrospective protocols that allowed a more complete picture of the cognitive effort in the translation process to be obtained.
