The present work shows the partial results of a characterization regarding the applicationof the Jidoka philosophy in small and medium textile companies located in the Department ofCundinamarca. This as part of Lean manufacturing, aims to optimize production processes, throughthe autonomization of equipment for the reduction and prevention of failures. This documentdemonstrates the degree of application of the main variables associated with the Jidoka philosophy,among which are the visual indicators, the control of cycle change times, the implementation ofPOKA YOKE devices, the total productive maintenance plans, and analysis of the failure modeand effect.
