This research was carried out in the municipality of Lloro in the department of Choco, with the participation of teachers as well as students, in order to gather the information required to carry out a diagnosis of the current state of the teaching of physical education, recreation and sports in its component of development of basic motor skills. Prior to this phase of the research, background information on the subject was analysed with the aim of using contributions to enrich the new methodological strategy for the different basic motor skills of the students. Then, information analysis was carried out in order to build the basic theoretical and methodological references for the theoretical and practical understanding of the proposed methodological strategy designed. This research is justified because it has theoretical value, practical utility, social and academic relevance. Methodologically, the research is of a descriptive nature.
