Work and the way work is organized change in response to human evolution. People as well as organizations replace those habits and methods that are no longer useful for their performance needs. Organizations today face substantial and radical changes in their processes and forms of organization, human resources are currently motivated by additional incentives to the remuneration and stability offered to them. For this reason they seek to rethink the forms of distribution of work, in such a way that they can meet their expectations of remuneration, flexibility and productivity, in a framework of growth in information and communication technologies. Coworking is a work management and planning method that appeared a few decades ago to change the perspectives of work organization, detaching it from the traditional aspect and leading it towards a model of cooperation and leadership in accordance with the organizational needs and humanization of companies. In accordance with the foregoing, this work aims to identify the acceptance of coworking by academics and freelancers in the municipality of Rionegro Antioquia through a bibliographic review and field work that allows us to observe the interest in these collaborative spaces. This research work is structured in three chapters, the first of which corresponds to the methodological considerations and the development of the work itself, such as the antecedents, statement of the problem and objectives, the second chapter is related to the bibliographic review of the coworking, its definition, characteristics, advantages and applications and recent research, and finally, a field study carried out with fourteen (14) participants is presented in order to know the interest in these collaboration spaces, and a section of results and conclusions that emerge from the field work carried out in the development of this research.
