This study proposes to establish a method for measuring the degree of universities recognition from the perspective of prospective students, from which the performance of the positioning of each University be compared with the level of recognition. To achieve this, the design of a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational research was determined; the data were obtained from 405 participants with a distinctive trait, it was determined by their educational level in Bogota city and the responses were collected through the application of a five-section survey according to demographic factor, factor of choice of a university and aspects recognition of each of the fifteen universities in this study, which were associated with the degree of recognition of each of them, finding the correlation between the mentioned variables and their respective recognition index. Therefore, in this study it’s determined that, although the selected universities will obtain a recognition value, the aspects associated with that recognition operate differently for each university.
