Congas and Accordion Music. Execution of the Son y Puya vallenatas is a winning project of the Portfolio of Special Incentives for the Safeguarding and Promotion of Afro-Colombian Cultural Heritage in the district of Barranquilla in 2017, in the modality of the Publication Grant of a Research in the Field of Music. This book makes a contribution to the preservation and dynamization of accordion music as a cultural and intangible heritage of humanity, with the aim of basing the performance of congas on the rhythms of Son and Puya vallenatas from the transcription and analysis of their rhythmic patterns.
