The growth of SMEs has become a key factor for regional development due to its high impact on the employment generation and production. However, right decisions are not made in fundamental areas such as finance and the market due to the lack of knowledge in relevant processes for their development within the company. This restricts their competitiveness and productivity in local and national markets, in some cases, even bankruptcy. Therefore, it is necessary to implement strategies in economic and financial education that allow the strengthening of processes to achieve sustainable enterprises.The project is aimed at small panela producers, due to the importance of agriculture in the region. The panelero sector has shortcomings in terms of access to loans, effective management of resources, generation of added value in the product and little knowledge in the area of investments. This leads to a lack of development regarding competitiveness and the expanding to local, national and international markets.
