This essay describes how the Protestant Reformation contributed to a new way of living the faith that broke with the medieval tradition of dogmas and with submission to the authorities of the Roman Church, influencing the formation of Modernity. A Protestant faith emerged that contributes to the construction of social alternatives and challenges us today to live a learner faith.
