Spanish Abstract: El presente articulo reflexiona sobre las reglas, instancias y procedimientos en el proceso de la politica exterior colombiana. Para lo cual se realiza un estudio descriptivo, tanto del marco legal que sustenta el proceso de formulacion de la politica exterior en Colombia, como de las instituciones estatales involucradas en dicho proceso. Se estudia el articulado de la constitucion politica de Colombia de 1991, sentencias de la Corte Constitucional y Decretos ley, orientados a la politica exterior del pais. Se concluye que en la actual Constitucion Politica se otorga mayor importancia a la politica exterior, al definir principios rectores, rol de las tres ramas del poder publico e instituciones estatales involucradas en el proceso. English Abstract: This article reflects on the rules, instances and procedures in the Colombian foreign policy process. For which a descriptive study is carried out, both of the legal framework that supports the process of formulation of foreign policy in Colombia, and of the state institutions involved in said process. The articles of the political constitution of Colombia of 1991, judgments of the Constitutional Court and law decrees, oriented towards the country's foreign policy, are studied. It is concluded that, in the current Political Constitution, greater importance is attached to foreign policy, when defining guiding principles, the role of the three branches of public power and state institutions involved in the process.
