Educational institutions, specifically in the city of Manizales, have experienced an accelerated transformation over the last two decades in terms of their material, social, cultural and economic conditions. Education and with it didactics are transformed by the changes typical of the societies in which they are registered. Particularly in the thematic framework in which this research is located, the implementation of new technological tools in the context of science didactics has produced significant changes both in the ways of teaching and learning. Educational institutions, nowadays equipped with different tools and technological devices, are configured as new spaces for interaction, both in the physical classroom and in the virtual classroom. In 2007, after having assumed the position as Academic Director of Colegio San Luis Gonzaga, I had the opportunity to learn about a postgraduate course that was being carried out at that time by one of my colleagues from the Information Technology and Technology Area, Professor Maria Eugenia Olarte Smell you. In a brief but precise way, he explained to me his desire to continue the implementation of a Pilot Test in the School, a Virtual Classroom in a free Software Platform called Moodle. From the beginning, this novel proposal for the institution was presented as an interesting and striking tool within the framework of the school's educational proposal. The Rector, who was at that time Father Carlos Vasquez SJ, who is also a recognized pedagogue and researcher on Jesuit Education issues, inspiring Personalized Education in Latin America, openly welcomed our initiative to implement the tool in the educational institution.
