This articles is a reflection on the passage of families through different stages in which children and young people experienced in their growth and development phase crisis of violence of the armed conflict, family dysfunction, causing violation of rights and serious damages, leaving them orphans and abandoned , with great consequences on his mental health to relate to the outside world; Thanks to the institutions that were born to safeguard rights such as the SOS Family Welfare Institute and Children's Villages, they are born to give the child new expectations of living and moving forward, under a family model, where they receive comprehensive care, nutrition, health and education, and workshops for the formation of values to leave the past behind and start again from scratch with a family, with the aim of acquiring skills for the construction of their life project, this article was narratively giving historical account of 4 boys who shared their life story during the process of entering the ICBF and children's villages with a qualitative approach as a contribution to the social problem in response to the objective: Determine the similarities and differences in the life story of 4 young people that grew and developed in SOS Children's Villages, an entity attached to the ICBF municipality of Rionegro ”.
