Spanish Abstract: La covid-19 es una enfermedad producida por el virus sars-CoV-2, declarada pandemia por la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud (OMS) el 11 de marzo de 2020. Debido a la gran cantidad de contagios en diferentes paises del mundo, se empezaron a declarar cuarentenas nacionales, razon por la cual la industria mas afectada fue la turistica y hotelera. En el presente articulo se recopilan las diferentes medidas tomadas por organismos internacionales, el Gobierno colombiano y el mismo sector hotelero para afrontar la crisis del sector. Para concluir, se analizara si las medidas decretadas han sido las correctas para apoyar la hoteleria durante las fases de cuarentena y posterior a esta. English Abstract: COVID-19 is a disease caused by sars-CoV-2 virus; it was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (who) on March 11, 2020. Because of the large number of infections in different countries of the world, national quarantines started to take effect. The industry most affected by this was tourism and hotels. This article has compiled the different measures taken by international organizations, the Colombian Government, and the hotel sector itself to face the crisis in the sector. To conclude, there is an analysis on the effectiveness of the measures taken to support the hotel sector during the quarantine and post-quarantine phases.
