Numerous studies indicate that, in Latin America, young people from the LGTBI community are victims of various forms of discrimination and violence in the family and at school. Colombia is not the exception. This research, which was carried out in five schools in the city of Pasto, addresses the problem from a bioethical perspective, in order to understand the conflicts of values that emerge in the educational community around students who identify themselves as non-binary. For this purpose, the author determines the judgments present in the discourses of students, mothers and teachers; then, using the deliberative method, he reveals the moral problems that arise in specific situations when individuals do not fit into the binary norm. Listening to the voices of young people and confronting them with those of their teachers and mothers allows to interpret the conflicts of values in the light of bioethics, which invites acceptance of di erence, recognition of individuality and respect for the dignity of all human beings.
