A cross-sectional observational study was carried out in 210 veterinary clinicians randomly sampled in the Province of Tucuman. The objectives were to describe personal and professional attributes and their relationships with socio-demographic variables. Statistical analysis included χ2, Pearson correlation coefficient and the generation of categories and attributes using InfoStat® and Atlas.ti®. Small animal clinicians, generally young females, highlighted attributes such as patience, trust and good relationships with clients and patients. On the other hand, large animal practitioners, often male and older than small animal clinicians, highlighted punctuality, responsibility, professionalism, experience, trust, precision in diagnosis, practicality and economic aspects.
