Saberes, prácticas y actitudes de las mujeres gestantes que fueron atendidas en el punto de atención Puracé de la ESE Popayán en torno a la morbilidad materna durante el año 2014
Objective: The purpose of this research Project was to get to know and interpret the knowledge, practices and attitudes of gestating women who were cared for at the Purace ESE Popayan about Maternal morbidity during the year 2014. Methodology: It was done with qualitative type of methodological support, with an ethnographic approach, that aims for the representation of the substantial aspects and / or qualities of the human condition in an indigenous and mestizo population context. Results: In this regard, the results inform the knowledge that influence the identification of the beginning of pregnancy for the timely search of health care and with this to the early detection of pregnancy alterations. It highlights the influence of structural factors and the need to positively influence the social factors on the health of pregnant women. Otherwise it was possible to understand how the social, economic and cultural context significantly influences the care practices of pregnant women for themselves and their unborn children. Regarding attitudes, the results show that pregnant women value hospital care and also show a demand for assistance from traditional providers. Conclusions: The research exercise makes us aware of the need to cement strategies for the construction of a dialogue of knowledge between the two medical systems in such a way as to unite efforts to promote and keep the health of the mother-child throughout the pregnancy process, the childbirth and the puerperium.
