The present quantitative approach study determined the effect of a high intensity aerobic interval training (HIIT) program that used games and motor circuits, for 16 weeks (3 weekly sessions) for the increase in peak oxygen consumption (VO2peak) and decrease in body mass index (BMI) and percentage of fat (% BF) in girls with overweight or obesity of 10 and 11 years from the Marino Davalos headquarter of the Moderna Educational Institution of Tulua, with a final average weight of 43.79 ± 6.5 kg and a size of 142 ± 5.7 cm, for which an explanatory scope and a quasi experimental design of pre-test-post-test and control group was carried out. Among the most important results, is the increase in VO2peak, with values of an average of 3.6 ml / kg / min and the decrease in (BMI) at 1.62 and its % BF at 3.72% in the experimental group, whereas in the control group stabled results were appreciated without significant changes; so in this study it is concluded that the HIIT program using games and motor circuits presented significant effects in the increase of VO2peak and decrease in BMI and %BF of the child population of overweight or obese girls of the Moderna Educational Institution of Tulua, validating in this way the research hypothesis with levels of significance for the test of independent samples minor than 0.005 (p = 0.001 for VO2peak, p = 0.032 for% BF and p = 0.039 for BMI).
