The objective of this paper was to conduct a review of instruments of self-reported physical activity in the pediatric population, taking into account the age range evaluated, their conceptual and psychometric properties. We conducted a literature review of instruments of self-reported physical activity in the pediatric population, published from 2000 to 2016 in the Pubmed, Ebsco and Medline databases. Were excluded from analysis publications without description of the procedure, unclear specific results in the population or population interventions to pathology. We selected 37 original scientific articles in English and Spanish AF associated with eligible securities in the pediatric population, (30082 items found in Pubmed, 4100 in Ebsco and 2007 in Medline database). Data for the analysis of the literature included author and year of publication, type of study, and the instrument for measuring the PA applied, population, number of items and activities evaluated. It was concluded that the self-report instruments are an economical and easy to administer in the pediatric population.
