A list of orchids from a subandean tropical forest in Guayabetal, Cundinamarca is presented. The area, located on a steep ground between 1,400 and 1,883 meters above sea level is covered by a clearly stratified humid forest with a high coverage of Rubiaceae. The collections were made at random walks but taking into account the georeferencing, habit, flowering time, vertical distribution and floral morphology data. A vegetation profile in a 50 x 2 meter plot was established in order to show the typical vegetation structure. The botanical collections were deposited at different herbaria in Bogota. The Orchidaceae are represented by 86 species belonging to 36 genera; the most specious genus is Maxillaria and the most common habit is the epiphytic one, whereas the highest number of species in flowering condition was registered in March.
