Características del Perfil Antropométrico del Jugador Nacional de Tenis de Mesa en las Categorías Sub 18 y Mayores 2015 y Su Relación Con El Rendimiento Deportivo
Using a population simple of 111 table tennis players from the under 18 and seniors categories, both from the male and female genre who participated on the national championship of singles and doubles held in Cucuta from the first to the seventh of june 2015; the current cross-sectioned research study, developed as the general objective: to determine the incidence of the anthropometric profile on the sports performance of the table tennis players on a national level. For that purpose, the first variable was valued by using instruments endorsed by the ISAK, in that case, the body mass number, the somatochart and the percentage of fat, while the sport performance variable was valued from the hierarchy order of the results in the national championship mentioned before. In this way, the research is supported in a quantitative approach, with a non-experimental design, descriptive and correlated, that achieved through the obtained results to ratify the null hypothesis of the study, proving there is not a relevant incidence of the anthropometric profile in the sport performance of the sample population. Such results allowed to detail the somatotype and the percentage of fat from the sample population, and to compare the values from the general sample with the elements placed in the four first places from each category and gender. Therefore, it was determined that the values proposed were the same, indicating among the more relevant findings an average percentage of fat from the total sample of the young male category of 10,8% while the average percentage from the four first place of the young male category was of 12,13%; in the case of the adult males from the whole sample the percentage of fat was 10,34%, while the average of the four best adults was 9,96%. Regarding the somatotype, the young males presented a meso-endomorphic balanced in the general sample and the four first places, and the analysis of the results of the somatotype of the young and adult females champions is the same somatotype from the general sample, in this case endo-mesophormic. Consequently, based on the results, it is specified that the anthropometric profile, in this case the somatotype and the percentage of fat, do not show any incidence in the sport results of the sample population, indicating the possibility of another variable factors of sport performance that have a higher influence on the same subject. This research pretends to encourage the interest of continuing to investigate about The anthropometric profile more convenient regarding the higher sport performance of the athletes belonging to this discipline in a national level, and to set a guideline towards the scientific research from a wide scope of factors that influence the sport performance of the Colombian table tennis players.
