Determine psychomotor profile of children aged between 6 and 10 years, belonging to educational institutions of the city of Pereira, 2013. Materials and Methods. Quantitative descriptive cross sectional study, a correlation phase. The total sample size was 420, comprising 220 girls and 198 boys. Procedure. Participants administered the informed consent and subsequently applied the psychomotor battery (BPM) Vitor Da Fonseca. Data analysis was performed taking into account a univariate analysis in which the results are presented as percentages and absolute frequencies; further bivariate analysis was made, in which, according to the characteristics of the variables used in study, parametric or nonparametric tests were worked to find the possible relationships between variables. Results. The BPM General Mediation, showed a result of 41.9 % Normal (n = 176) of the students and a good result in 58.1 % (n = 244) in the other students. In short, as is found in other studies, the children tested showed that the state of the driving behavior is appropriate, because although difficulties arose in some areas, you are not transcendental in motor development. Conclusions. In general, all children tested had adequate psychomotor development. However, in some specific areas such as global praxia and notion of the body, a significant percentage of the population, only rated as Satisfactory, ie having some difficulty was found.
