The objective of this research is to identify the main research trends that analyze the discourses and effects of reggaeton on young people; in the same way, distinguish the most listened to reggaeton songs on YouTube and Spotify platforms performed by Spanish-speaking women. Said purpose becomes pertinent within the framework of the applied research project: “Relationship between the lyrics of reggaeton songs with the erotic-affective performance of young women from Medellin” that is carried out in the KAUSAI seedbed, from which this degree work. In turn, it represents a contribution for the Social Sciences to carry out an expansion in the field of understanding the effect of this musical genre on young people. This research is developed through the document review method, using different search equations that help us locate articles that are related to the categories of interest; Likewise, the corpus was selected through the most used streaming platforms of the moment, in order to build a content analysis on the gender roles in the erotic-affective relationships that these songs describe for young people
