With the rise of information technology and communications technologies, society has been forced to make adjustments in the labor system that respond to the new challenges generated in business recruitment. For this reason, there are figures such as telecommuting: a social and labor tool that allows the use of technological, computer and communications tools to execute the work activity in geographically different spaces to the main locations where the company operates directly. This contractual modality generates a series of effects that affect the labor market and the economic system of the country that decides to implement it. Colombia is one of the countries that has been willing to flexibilize the labor conditions regulated by the internal regulations, in order to introduce satisfactorily this useful tool to generate employment. Consequently, the different effects that this implementation causes are reflected at the national level; Creating an ideal scenario for the analysis of the main incentives and disincentives that this type of labor contracting originates.
