The work was carried out in the year 2016 in a Vertisoil planted with sugar cane, with the objective of studying the three physical models more used in the transformation of data in resistance to penetration obtained with a penetrometer of impact. For the transformation of the field data of the impact penetrometer was utilized the models of Dutchs, of Sanders and of Brix. Was analyzed the impacts to 0-30 cm of depth, the impacts for dm, the penetration for impact and the resistance to penetration in MPa. Was used the correlation coefficient of Pearson. For data processing used the software Statistica 7. The Dutch model can be use with penetrometers with peculiarities different to the Stolf penetrometer and generated the equation: PR (MPa) 0,342 +0,076N. The Sanders model overestimates the resistance to penetration (18.571 MPa); while Brix will underneath the model of the Dutchs (3.411 y 4.393 MPa, respectively). The values of soil resistance to penetration obtained with the Dutchs model qualified between high and very high.
