Abstract:

The main goal of the present dissertation is to justify three main thesis as a response to the question: what do we have in common when it comes to morality?. This theses are, namely, that we have in common good will, moral law and freedom, just as the German philosopher Immanuel Kant states in his famous book Groundwork of the metaphysics of morals. This three basic traits that we all have in common can be understood as a whole, for they are present in our daily choices and moral judgements. It can be said that while the good will enables us to discern, through an individual and reflexive process, the moral worth of actions, the moral law binds us with the path that our actions must take, and freedom, that has a close relation with moral responsability, enjoins us with the task of following the path that the law indicates so, we can aim to moral improvement.
