In this work we describe the characteristics of the audiodescription of characters and their actions from a pragmatic perspective, analyzing the contextual effects of the audiodescriptions. A corpus of analysis composed by 10 scenes of a Colombian film and audiodescription in Colombia was analyzed, and from those, 22 audiodescriptions were analyzed. The same methodology of analysis was applied to each description, taking into account all the elements that integrate an audiovisual product (dialogues, images, sounds, audio-descriptions). From the pragmatic aspect, three types of contextual effects were found, most of which were of connection and reinforcement, not only of the dialogues but of the images and sounds, and to a lesser extent, contextual effects of contradiction were identified in relation to the image and the dialogues. The audio descriptions take into account dialogues and images to define what is described and thus produce a contextual effect that can place the audience in the scene.
