Propuesta de diseño del modelo de distribución de entregas especiales para mejorar el nivel de cumplimiento en las rutas de la zona sur de la Empresa TCC S.A.S. Regional Cali
The current distribution model of the logistics operator TCC SAS is aimed at meeting the needs of delivery and customer satisfaction among the various sectors that make up the local and national economy, for this it has a fleet of vehicles that operate according to a programming based In the information of the collection services that are performed daily for each of the routes established in a static manner, within that information that feeds the distribution process, two types of deliveries are classified: (regular and special). The regular deliveries are those directed to places that do not handle any special protocol of reception of merchandise or wait for shift and that does not demand more than 20 minutes to become effective, otherwise, those that are called as special deliveries, they need to conform to some protocols of reception of large companies and chain stores, which demand to invest waiting times of more than one hour to comply with the delivery. The current distribution model of the company, combines these two types of delivery, where special deliveries are affecting the level of compliance of regular deliveries and the collection process, levels that are at a rate between 70 and 75%, thus becoming an object of study through the question How is the design of the distribution model of special deliveries that improves the level of compliance in the routes of the southern area of the company TCC SAS regional Cali?. To solve it, the current distribution model of the company is analyzed, in the southern zone, study area for this case, where each of the routes that comprise it is described, perimeter extension, data of the amounts of remittances, units and weight daily and monthly, especially the special deliveries served by each of them, then the routing method is defined, for this the algorithm method of savings or Clarke & Wright is selected for special deliveries, supported by a definition of delivery days for each of them. As a third step, the selection of the method leads to an application of daily practice in real life in two routes, where the behavior of the routes and the results obtained from the implementation of the proposed distribution model are evaluated over two weeks. The results obtained show an improvement compared to a similar period of time in a year after the practice is performed and another compared to a previous month, managing to reduce the operating cost and increasing the compliance rate by up to 7 points. Deliveries, going from 73% to 80% in comparison between the years 2017 and 2018. In the end it can be concluded that the proposed model works, but that in a better measure it should be applied simply to the chain stores, thus adjusting very surely the effectiveness is reduced, leading eventually to raise the need to elaborate a joint strategy between all the parts that make up the supply chain, which allow agreeing schedules and thus reduce in maximum expression those waiting deadlines that are generated when dealing with this type of delivery and which is too expensive.
