The media have transformed their processes of creation and transmission of content based on technological advances that have impacted on people's lives, as this changed the way in which people communicate, interact, market and relate to the world. This study seeks to understand which are the milestones that mark the advancement of the mass media, the reasons that led them to generate changes in their writing models and the negative and positive implications that the transition from traditional to digital has generated. In addition, it investigates the history of traditional communication based on audiovisual channels, to find out the challenges that they have had to face and the relationship that these media have created with their audiences. Gone is communication through a single channel, where the large media impacted many people, but they did not have participation in that communicative activity, now communication is multi-channel, interactive and integrated with the audience. This occurs thanks to the arrival of the internet in people's lives, giving users the possibility to share their ideas and opinions with their community and also impact the lives of others. This forced the media to rethink the way they related to the public.
