The objective of the present study is to check that curves of factor concentration available in the literature, experimental efforts, can be performed by means of simulations making a significant adjustment. For this reason, we selected two geometries for the study: shaft with thru hole and shaft with sudden change in cross-sectional area. For both geometries it was obtained the maximum effort and calculated nominal effort as the relations between the applied force and the minimum area perpendicular to the force, in order to be able, from them, assess the concentration of effort factor, plot and compare it to the pilot. Finally, with the obtained results we can conclude that it is possible to build curves of factor concentration of effort by means of simulations, with the same confidence that have conventional experimental methods, but at a lower cost.
