The following research started as an attempt to answer the question regarding the way in which labor process is controlled in the jewelry labor market in Bogota from the standpoint of the social construction of the occupation. We make a description of the work trajectories that allows us to find that there are two types of jewelry in Bogota: i) popular jewelry and ii) luxurious jewelry. Sociology of non-classic work helped us to understand the core work done by clients in controlling labor process in both types of jewelry.
