Through educational practice and the close relationship between teachers, students and parents, the need for training in social skills from an early age is increasingly being observed. This research focuses on the social skill of empathy. Through an exercise of characterization in the third grade students of Colegio Venecia IED and the generation of dialogues with parents. I propose the reconstruction of the curriculum where empathy plays a transcendental role for the improvement of coexistence relations of students both in the institution and in their homes. This reconstruction not only integrates elements of the institutional curriculum, but is also linked to national politics such as the educational politics issued by the Ministry of National Education (MEN) and international organization how UNESCO.
