This article explores the causes that lead young people to take social gang activity as a life in the municipality of Turbo-Antioquia. In addition, it makes a contextualization at the regional and municipal level that helps to understand a little more. It seeks to be useful to build a memory that allows generating actions that favor the eradication of this problem in the aforementioned sector and provides guidelines for the municipal administration to begin to increase the support and opportunities to which these marginalized young people of this beautiful place have access . The methodology of this work is qualitative, different sources of information were used, such as databases, national newspapers and two regional newspapers were also used. It was found that the lack of affection, hatred, the desire to stop the abuses to which they have been subjected for years by the state and the armed actors that exercise territorial control in this area of Uraba Antioqueno and the lack of opportunities They have become the main factors that lead to the marginalized youth of this place deciding to join these youth groups.
