EnglishThe intention of this study was to investigate the effects of flipping and transfer to the hatchery in theartificial incubation of japan quail eggs (Coturnix coturnix japan) including transfer weight to hatcher, transfer time -hatching, hatching percentage and embryonic death.A total of 288 eggs were randomly distributed in 3 incubators (Inc), each referredto as treatment (Trt) and were exposed to identical turning characteristics (frequency, angle and duration), in contrast to the days of transfer (13Inc3, 14Inc2and 15Inc1).The results demonstrated through the Tukey test (0,05), heterogeneous groups when contrasting the average weight of the egg in the hatchery transfer in each of the incubators (Inc1 10,94 gr , Inc2 10,78 gr and Inc3 11,21 gr ).The different transfer days manifested 3 kinds of hatching; Early (Inc2 -24 h ),on time (Inc1 0 h ) and late (Inc3 +24 h ), the latter recorded a 120-hour birth window, unlike the first They recorded 48 hours, respectively. The hatching percentage was adequate with transfers close to hatching (Inc1 90,63 , Inc2 93,75 and Inc3 79,17 ), as well as in the number of embryonic deaths, however, the same was not reflected in the last incubation stage when the reduction of the day of transfer to the hatchery (day 13) increased embryonic mortality.
