In this essay answer the following questions. The activities of AirBit Club (a multilevel marketing company in which bitcoin is traded and advised on cryptocurrency) can they be defined as a job and more specifically as a non-classical job? If so, how is control exercised over workers and clients?, what formal and informal rules regulate labor relations?, and how did workers get and keep their jobs? We did so based on Karl Marx’s theory of value, on Enrique de la Garza’s category of non-classical work, and on the methodological resources of ethnography, the life story, and discourse analysis. In general terms, we obtained two results. On the one hand, the detailed description of said activities and their contradictions. And, on the other, the concepts of materialsymbolic merchandise and of dividuo laborans —the latter, incidentally, is a critical response to the concepts proposed by Michel Foucault: businessman of himself, and by Byung-Chul Han: animal laborans late-modern.
