What are the big issues facing a manager in today's times? The purpose of this book, the result of a collective effort by full-time teachers linked to the Faculty of Administration of the Universidad de los Andes, was to guide administrators in the answer to this question. Each chapter begins with an analysis of each of the selected topics, starting with their theoretical and practical importance for the administration within an international perspective. This is complemented with an analysis of what is happening in Colombia and, in some cases, in Latin America in the various subjects studied. The chapters were grouped into five sections relevant to the practice of management in today's world: the organization and its environment, the organization and markets, the business model, the individual and decision-making, and entrepreneurship and innovation.
