Forced displacement has been a problem that remains active in Colombia, due to armed conflict, common crime, land tenure. These are some of the causes of the violence that is lived in Colombia and that in turn have caused forced displacement. In this article, the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights regarding forced displacement in Colombia will be analyzed, the subject of which the sub-rules and the measures taken by the Inter-American Court, regarding the responsibility and irresponsibility of the Colombian state will be addressed in forced displacement. We consider it important to be clear about the reasons for which the Inter-American Court has declared the Colombian state responsible for the violation of the right to free movement that is consecrated in the American Convention on Human Rights.
