The historical investigation of modern architecture in the city of Barranquilla has very few references, likewise, most of the investigative texts are focused on residential aesthetics and urban development; at the same time, industrial and commercial architectural historiography is absent. The objective of this research is to organize a historical basis for the analysis of the industrial and commercial projects of Cornelissen & Salzedo in Barranquilla between 1930-1949. The research is documentary of a historiographic nature with a qualitative approach. By way of conclusion, the history of the design and construction firm Cornelissen & Salzedo is reconstructed, an inventory, classification and evaluation of the architecture and construction archive, the legacy of the firm, added to a review of theoretical references of world architectural movements developed at early and mid-twentieth century in relation to the time of the company. Likewise, historical-theoretical bases are organized for a future critical analysis of the company's civil works and a contribution to the consolidation of the history of the Architecture of Barranquilla.
